BPI President and CEO Cezar P. Consing and BPI Foundation Executive Director Owen Cammayo, 1st row, 1st and 2nd from left, meet virtually with the City Government of Manila Mayor Francisco Moreno Domagoso, Carlos P. Romulo Foundation for Peace and Development Inc. (CPRF) Chairman and President Roberto R. Romulo, National Resilience Council (NRC) President Antonia Yulo Loyzaga, and NRC Executive Director Marilou Erni to sign the memorandum of agreement for the “Adopt-A-City” Program.
BPI Foundation, the social development arm of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), recently adopted the City of Manila under the “Sustainable Cities: Adopt-A-City” program, in partnership with the National Resilience Council (NRC), Carlos P. Romulo Foundation for Peace and Development Inc. (CPRF), and City Government of Manila to help transform Manila into an empowered, disaster-resilient, and sustainable city. The program aims to strengthen the scientific knowledge, leadership, and governance capacities of the local government unit to potentially achieve human, economic, and environment resilience, and sustainable development, one city at a time. Reinforcing its mission to be an agent of sustainable positive change to underserved Filipino communities, especially those ravaged by natural calamities, BPI Foundation will fund the three-year program that will benefit around 1.78 million local residents.
