Mindanao reforestation

Rainforestation of the mountains of Mindanao is the only long-term solution to attaining food self-sufficiency, with three crop cycles per year, and bringing back the full capacity of our hydro-electric plants. In partnership with Hineleban Foundation, the project will significantly help to restore the ecosystem and consequently bring more rain to increase agricultural production. This initiative aims to a family food security cycle and sustainable, disposable income for 20 families in the identified project site. The project aims to engage the local communities to become custodians of the site, by providing them sustainable livelihood opportunities, becoming our partners in ensuring the conservation of the reforested area.
